Who is responsible?
- President: Chapter choices, announcements, roles, and meeting flow.
- Vice President: GP101, Chapter Health, VP Report, recognition, attendance concerns, and pending applications.
- Secretary/Treasurer: Featured Presenters in BNI Connect; BNI Referral Masters also selects Speaker 3.
- Any Top 3: rehearse, start the deck, pair the phone remote, and keep the meeting moving.
The day before
- Open My Meeting in the Portal or sign in at meeting.bnitampa.com.
- Confirm the BNI Chapter and meeting date.
- Read What’s Different This Week; it names every one-week recognition.
- Resolve red items and confirm yellow carryovers.
- Confirm speakers in BNI Connect, then rehearse the complete deck.
- Let portraits load. That device now holds the protected offline meeting copy.
In the room
- Connect the presentation device to power and the room display.
- Open Meeting Day and complete Room Check.
- Scan the one-use QR code to pair the phone remote.
- Start Meeting when the normal agenda begins; End Meeting after the closing slide.
If the internet disappears
- Keep presenting—the prepared deck and portraits continue from the protected offline copy.
- Live QR arrivals catch up automatically when the connection returns.
- If the remote disconnects, use arrow keys, space bar, a clicker, or touch controls.
- Do not reload repeatedly. The presentation retries automatically.
If the presentation device fails
- Open the same meeting on another signed-in laptop, iPad, or iPhone.
- On iPhone/iPad, use the Home Screen launcher and landscape orientation.
- If no screen is available, continue the agenda using Meeting Planning’s recognition synopsis and BNI Connect’s presenter list.
- Report the Chapter, date, action, and visible result—never copy a roster, login link, or remote QR code.
No Normal Chapter Meeting is not a technical fallback
Use it only when the normal meeting truly will not occur because of an approved replacement or emergency. Never use it because the internet, remote, projector, or slides failed.
